In every language, in every time, there is and has been a word and behaviour to express gratitude. In English it's thank you; in French merci; in German, danke; in Spanish, gracias; in behaviours, the practice of love in all things and the act of humility in experiencng the ecstasy of being one with the One.

To be appreciative at every moment for that which we have received as well as that which is coming into our lives is the essence of this pillar and the one that is most likely to collapse.

This simple act is the foundation of the most courageous acts of faith. It is also the foundation of a thriving business.

Most people intend to be grateful but in the whirlwind of our lives it's easy to forget this step. Especially if we're in a place of fear and anxiety. So how do we learn to take this step so that it becomes a part of our cellular memory?

First, remember who you really are and your connection to Source Energy. When you live in this state of consciousness, offering appreciation becomes effortless. Granted, living in this world and remaining conscious can be a major challenge. But when you practice and become good at noticing everything that is presented to you, the main hurdle has been cleared. When you agree to live only in the present moment, noticing is a breeze.

So what does gratitude have to do with your business? When you grasp how powerful your thoughts are and the energy they consist of, you will begin to notice that what you focus on expands. So if it is your intent to grow your business, focus not only on the desire but on your gratitude for all that is (even if you think the achievement of your goal is in the future, appreciate it as if it has already occurred. Most spiritual teachers and physicists tell us that creation has occurred at the moment we've given it our attention! Like conception!).

Gratitude thoughts are powerful energy which tends to bring you more of what you want than any other practice. Gratitude and faith are partners and it is to the Law of Faith we'll direct our attention next month.
